Purpose:

The Future-Ready Teacher Innovator Program aims to identify and groom exceptional educators who possess subject matter expertise, digital literacy, and a creative mindset to become leaders in modern curriculum design and teaching practices. The program focuses on equipping candidates with advanced skills in developing multidisciplinary, activity based, and learner-centric materials that align with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and NEP 2020. Through continuous training sessions, this initiative aims to empower participants to master innovative tools and techniques that enhance both in-class and out-of-class engagement. By fostering holistic student development, it strives to create a cadre of educators equipped to transform learning experiences for the 21st century.

Highlights of the workshop:

Session 1: Soft Skills and English Proficiency

The session, led by the key speaker Mr. Sharad Arora, served as an engaging ice-breaker where participants from various branches of Bal Bharati Public School, introduced themselves and shared their passions. This interactive activity fostered connections and allowed everyone to get to know one another better. The session on Communication and Empathy in Classroom Teaching, conducted by Saaneya Kapoor, explored the critical distinction between empathy and sympathy, emphasizing the importance of active learning in fostering meaningful connections. The role of a teacher as a role model who demonstrates active listening was thoroughly explained, supported by situation-based examples. Ms. Saaneya also introduced a three-step technique for cultivating empathy—Observe, Think, and Ask—and guided participants to apply these principles effectively through a case study analysis and a snippet from the movie, Inside Out.  The session highlighted the significance of connecting with students on a deeper level, equipping educators with practical strategies to enhance classroom interactions and build trust.

Session 2: Digital Skills for Modern Day Classroom

A session on Digital Skills was conducted to assess and enhance teachers' technological proficiency. The key speaker, Ms. Kritika Pachouri, provided a detailed walkthrough of essential features in PowerPoint, highlighting its applications for dynamic teaching.

The session also introduced the Lesson Plan Generator (LPG), an AI-powered tool designed to streamline the creation of efficient and effective lesson plans. Mr. Rupjyoti Das explained the tool's features and emphasized the key elements included in the generated plans. Teachers were encouraged to adopt LPG as a resource to optimize their lesson preparation and delivery, promoting innovation and efficiency in classroom teaching.

Exploring the studio, bringing classrooms to life beyond four walls

Participants from various branches of Bal Bharati Public School, accompanied by the school Principal of Manesar, Mr. Harsh Kumar, and the Mashmari team, visited the newly built studio room at BBPS Manesar. They tested the sound system, recorded a video to evaluate its resolution, and captured a group photo to commemorate the visit. The experience marked a step forward in embracing modern teaching tools!

Session 3: Equipment and Software for Hybrid Class and Content Studio

The session was designed to empower teachers with the skills needed to independently create and manage their classroom recordings, paving the way for enhanced digital teaching practices. Mr. Tanishq focused on the areas including:

Basic Studio Setup – Educators were guided on setting up essential studio equipment to ensure optimal audio and video quality.

Using OBS Software – Step-by-step instructions were provided on navigating OBS, a powerful open-source tool for recording and streaming, enabling teachers to efficiently capture their lessons.

Recording a Class – Practical demonstrations helped participants learn the process of recording engaging and professional class sessions.

Saving and Organizing Recordings – Best practices for storing and organizing recordings were shared to ensure easy access and reusability.

By the end of the session, educators gained valuable technical expertise, equipping them to create polished and interactive video lessons that enhance the learning experience for students.

Session 4: AI, Apps and Online Resources for TLM Enrichment

The session spotlighted various AI-powered applications designed to enhance the teaching-learning process, providing educators with innovative tools to create more engaging and effective learning experiences. One of the key highlights was the introduction of the Clipchamp app, a versatile video editing platform that empowers teachers to create professional-quality video content with ease.

Participants were introduced to its features, such as customizable templates, easy video trimming, and built-in stock media, making it an ideal tool for creating dynamic lesson materials.

Conclusion: The training provided insights into the upcoming focus areas, offering a preview of the themes and tools that would be explored in subsequent sessions. This forward-looking approach ensured that participants were well-prepared to build on their skills and integrate new technologies into their teaching practices effectively.

REPORT ON THE CELEBRATION OF BHAGWAN BIRSA MUNDA’S BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

On 14th November 2024,  Bal Bharati Public School Noida organized a series of activities to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered tribal leader and freedom fighter. The celebration aimed to honour his contributions to the nation and to educate students about his life and the cultural heritage of India.

Documentary Screening and Discussion

A documentary titled "Jana Jatiya Gaurav Diwas", highlighting the life and contributions of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, was screened for students from classes VI to XII. The session began with a brief introduction to his life, emphasizing his role as a leader who championed the rights of tribal communities. After the screening, an engaging discussion was held, where students shared their reflections and thoughts, deepening their understanding of his legacy.

Mask-Making Activity

For students of classes VI to VIII, a creative and educational mask-making activity was organized. This activity introduced students to the cultural significance of masks and headgear in the North Eastern states of India. It also aimed to foster an appreciation for the diversity and uniqueness of traditional attire and accessories in different Indian communities. The activity allowed students to explore and express their creativity while learning about the rich cultural heritage of India.

The event was a meaningful tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda and served as an educational platform for students to connect with history and cultural traditions.

To foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, collaboration and seizing the chance to join the transformative journey towards a brighter and enlightened future, an educational expedition was organised for the students of Class VIII to Bharat Shiksha Expo on Tuesday, 12 November 2024.

Though the expo was targeted for the students of Classes XI, XII and university students, the organisers planned a few activities for the young learners on the spot. They were asked to sit in groups and perform certain brainstorming and creative thinking activities like solving puzzles, creativity test and finding solutions to real life problems. Students presented their ideas in front of the judges and were rewarded with chocolates and souvenirs.

Students visited many stalls organised by universities like- Gautam Buddha University, Sparsh global business School, Ryan group of schools, GLA University, IILM Greater Noida, BIMTECH Greater Noida. They explored advanced educational opportunities and took guidance on careers, scholarships, and university applications.

The Expo highlighted the Noida International Knowledge Hub (NIKH) as a premier destination for education and business. It connected students with essential resources for informed decisions about International Studies.

BHARAT SHIKSHA EXPO 2024 aimed to empower students, inspire educators, and drive societal progress through the power of education.

As part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which recognizes the importance of equipping teachers with high-quality content knowledge and innovative pedagogical approaches, the CBSE organized a one-day training program for yoga teachers. This program aimed to empower teachers with updated skills and deeper insights into the CBSE Yoga syllabus for classes XI-XII.

The training session was held on 16th November 2024 at Sri Venkateshwara International School, Sector 18, Dwarka, 110075. I, Gaurav Goswami, actively participated in and successfully completed this training program.

Overview of the Sessions

The program was conducted by two distinguished resource persons, Dr. Neha Chaudhary and Ms. Dolly Thakur. After a brief introduction, the sessions covered the following key aspects:

Detailed discussion on the yoga syllabus for CBSE classes XI and XII.

Explanation of theoretical concepts and their integration into the classroom.

Individual and group practice of various yoga asanas.

Focus on techniques, benefits, and correct posture.

Methods to make yoga learning more engaging and effective.

Strategies to align yoga teaching with NEP 2020 objectives

Enhanced understanding of yoga content and its relevance in the academic curriculum.

Practical knowledge of asanas and methods to demonstrate them effectively.

Familiarity with the blueprint and structure of the CBSE Yoga syllabus for classes XI-XII.

The session was a valuable experience that equipped teachers with the skills and confidence to deliver

high-quality yoga education in schools.

Topper’s Edge in association with SRCC extended an invitation to Class XII Economics students of the esteemed institution, Bal Bharati Public School, Noida to attend complimentary Economics masterclass. The masterclass was conducted on 19th October, 2024 between 01:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

This was indeed an incredible opportunity for the enthusiastic students to interact with bright students of SRCC and well reputed faculty members. During the session students were provided with comprehensive insights into the Economics syllabus, which proved to be invaluable for their upcoming examinations.

In addition to the masterclass, students toured through the SRCC campus, gaining first hand exposure to the prestigious institution. It is believed that this experience will be both academically enriching and motivational for our students.

FEEDBACK FROM STUDENTS:

The Economics masterclass at SRCC was both insightful and thought-provoking. The speaker's ability to simplify complex economic concepts, combined with his captivating delivery, kept me engaged throughout. The interactive Q &A session was particularly impressive. It fostered a great environment for us to express our views, leading to a more participative and lively discussion. The session also gave us the opportunity to experience one of the most prestigious commerce colleges, further inspiring us to excel in the future.

Overall, the session was well-organized and managed. My only suggestion to the organizers for future events would be to provide some refreshments or snacks, as it would enhance the overall experience for the attendees.

On 19 October 2024, we had the opportunity to attend Economics Masterclass at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), one of India's premier institutions for Commerce and Economics.

Topper's Edge in association with SRCC organised this event and it was conducted by Mr Nishant Khaneja who is known for simplifying complex concepts into real world applications. The class focused on providing us with comprehensive insights into the Economics syllabus which will be valuable for the upcoming exams. The class comprised approximately 100 students, creating an interactive and engaging atmosphere. The session began with a structured lecture outlining the major themes in Indian Economics including GDP growth, inflation, and government policies. Throughout the lecture, we were encouraged to ask questions and share our perspectives. Mr Nishant's approachable demeanour encouraged participation, creating a space where we felt comfortable expressing our thoughts and understandings.

The class deepened my understanding of key economic principles and their relevance to the Indian context. This class exemplified SRCC’s commitment to academic excellence and its role in shaping informed future economists. Overall, the experience reinforced my interest in the field of Economics and I hope to be a part of this prestigious institution next year.

The speakers, Ojas Bhaiya and Nishant Sir, not only shared their vast knowledge but did it in a way that was both entertaining and engaging, making the workshop enjoyable and never felt boring. The sessions were highly interactive, with participants encouraged to share their diverse perspectives enriching the discussions. The entire experience was fantastic and further motivated me to work harder towards achieving my dream of getting into SRCC.

Attending the economics workshop at the top commerce college exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the prestigious atmosphere was palpable, with the college's historic architecture blending seamlessly with cutting-edge facilities. The workshop itself was a deep dive into complex economic concepts, guided by expert faculty who effortlessly broke down advanced theories into relatable real-world examples. Every topic was dealt in an easy manner.

What truly stood out was the level of engagement of the students - participants were encouraged to question, debate and collaborate, which made the sessions highly interactive and insightful. Beyond the classroom, networking with students and professionals opened up new perspectives to learning. The entire experience was not only academically rewarding but also left me inspired and motivated to apply the knowledge gained to my own academic and professional journey in Economics.
