History of school

Our Journey: Bal Bharati Public School, Noida

Bal Bharati Public School, Noida was established in 1992 as one of the flagship institutions under the aegis of the Child Education Society (Regd.), New Delhi. Founded with a vision to provide quality education rooted in academic excellence, co-scholastic enrichment, and strong moral values, the school has grown into a centre of excellence over the years. Since its inception, the school has been growing by leaps and bounds, earning a reputation as one of the front-runners in academics, sports, and holistic development across the NCR region.

At the time of its inception, the school was guided by the leadership of Mr. O.P. Bhutani, the founding Chairman, whose vision laid the cornerstone for a learning environment that encourages holistic development and inclusive education. The academic journey was initiated under the stewardship of Mr. P. Ghosh, the first Principal, who set high standards in curriculum planning, discipline, and value-based education. With a dedicated team of educators and a progressive mindset, the foundation for a strong academic culture was laid.

In the early years, several distinguished educationists contributed to the school’s leadership:

• Mrs. S. Pasricha served as the Acting Principal from November 1992 to June 1993.
• Shri Chandrashekhar was appointed Headmaster from July 1993 to October 1993.
• Commodore P.I. Oommen served as Principal from November 1993 to June 2000.
• Shri Shyamal Dey led the school from July 2000 to March 2001.
• Mr. P.K. Rajora served as Principal from April to November 2001.
• Cdr S. Bhattacharjee took over in January 2002 and served until March 2011.
• Since April 2011, Mrs. Asha Prabhakar has been leading the school as Principal, continuing the tradition of excellence and innovation.

The school was affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the year 2001.

The Parent Body: Child Education Society

The Child Education Society, the apex body of Bal Bharati Public Schools, was founded in 1944 during the pre-independence era with the aim of preserving and nurturing Indian culture, heritage, and ethos through education. It was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

Today, the Society is managed by a Board of Management comprising eminent educationists and social workers. It is currently led by Mr. Nikhil Channa, an esteemed educationist and social worker, as the President.

The Society runs a total of 25 institutions, including:

15 Bal Bharati Public Schools
07 Project Schools in collaboration with Indian Railways and NTPC
03 Institutions of Higher Education

Bal Bharati Public Schools are comprehensive, co-educational English-medium institutions that maintain a strong presence of Hindi as the national language within the curriculum. The campuses are thoughtfully designed and well-equipped with modern infrastructure: well-stocked libraries, fully functional laboratories, computer centres, audio-visual rooms, art and music studios, sports complexes, and swimming pools.

Our Philosophy

The educational vision of Bal Bharati is rooted in the ancient Vedic maxim:

“आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः” – “Let noble thoughts come to us from all sides.”

The school promotes integrated and value-based learning, encouraging students to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. It embraces the Indian ideal of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — “The world is one family” — and actively nurtures national pride, compassion, and a global perspective.

Governance

Bal Bharati Public School, Noida is currently overseen by a dynamic School Managing Committee chaired by Mr. Nikhil Channa, with Mrs. Asha Prabhakar as the Principal. The committee includes distinguished professionals, former civil and defence services officers, academicians, and prominent residents of Noida, all dedicated to upholding the school’s mission and standards.
