Purpose:

The Future-Ready Teacher Innovator Program aims to identify and groom exceptional educators who possess subject matter expertise, digital literacy, and a creative mindset to become leaders in modern curriculum design and teaching practices. The program focuses on equipping candidates with advanced skills in developing multidisciplinary, activity based, and learner-centric materials that align with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and NEP 2020. Through continuous training sessions, this initiative aims to empower participants to master innovative tools and techniques that enhance both in-class and out-of-class engagement. By fostering holistic student development, it strives to create a cadre of educators equipped to transform learning experiences for the 21st century.

Highlights of the workshop:

Session 1: Soft Skills and English Proficiency

The session, led by the key speaker Mr. Sharad Arora, served as an engaging ice-breaker where participants from various branches of Bal Bharati Public School, introduced themselves and shared their passions. This interactive activity fostered connections and allowed everyone to get to know one another better. The session on Communication and Empathy in Classroom Teaching, conducted by Saaneya Kapoor, explored the critical distinction between empathy and sympathy, emphasizing the importance of active learning in fostering meaningful connections. The role of a teacher as a role model who demonstrates active listening was thoroughly explained, supported by situation-based examples. Ms. Saaneya also introduced a three-step technique for cultivating empathy—Observe, Think, and Ask—and guided participants to apply these principles effectively through a case study analysis and a snippet from the movie, Inside Out.  The session highlighted the significance of connecting with students on a deeper level, equipping educators with practical strategies to enhance classroom interactions and build trust.

Session 2: Digital Skills for Modern Day Classroom

A session on Digital Skills was conducted to assess and enhance teachers' technological proficiency. The key speaker, Ms. Kritika Pachouri, provided a detailed walkthrough of essential features in PowerPoint, highlighting its applications for dynamic teaching.

The session also introduced the Lesson Plan Generator (LPG), an AI-powered tool designed to streamline the creation of efficient and effective lesson plans. Mr. Rupjyoti Das explained the tool's features and emphasized the key elements included in the generated plans. Teachers were encouraged to adopt LPG as a resource to optimize their lesson preparation and delivery, promoting innovation and efficiency in classroom teaching.

Exploring the studio, bringing classrooms to life beyond four walls

Participants from various branches of Bal Bharati Public School, accompanied by the school Principal of Manesar, Mr. Harsh Kumar, and the Mashmari team, visited the newly built studio room at BBPS Manesar. They tested the sound system, recorded a video to evaluate its resolution, and captured a group photo to commemorate the visit. The experience marked a step forward in embracing modern teaching tools!

Session 3: Equipment and Software for Hybrid Class and Content Studio

The session was designed to empower teachers with the skills needed to independently create and manage their classroom recordings, paving the way for enhanced digital teaching practices. Mr. Tanishq focused on the areas including:

Basic Studio Setup – Educators were guided on setting up essential studio equipment to ensure optimal audio and video quality.

Using OBS Software – Step-by-step instructions were provided on navigating OBS, a powerful open-source tool for recording and streaming, enabling teachers to efficiently capture their lessons.

Recording a Class – Practical demonstrations helped participants learn the process of recording engaging and professional class sessions.

Saving and Organizing Recordings – Best practices for storing and organizing recordings were shared to ensure easy access and reusability.

By the end of the session, educators gained valuable technical expertise, equipping them to create polished and interactive video lessons that enhance the learning experience for students.

Session 4: AI, Apps and Online Resources for TLM Enrichment

The session spotlighted various AI-powered applications designed to enhance the teaching-learning process, providing educators with innovative tools to create more engaging and effective learning experiences. One of the key highlights was the introduction of the Clipchamp app, a versatile video editing platform that empowers teachers to create professional-quality video content with ease.

Participants were introduced to its features, such as customizable templates, easy video trimming, and built-in stock media, making it an ideal tool for creating dynamic lesson materials.

Conclusion: The training provided insights into the upcoming focus areas, offering a preview of the themes and tools that would be explored in subsequent sessions. This forward-looking approach ensured that participants were well-prepared to build on their skills and integrate new technologies into their teaching practices effectively.
