Student communication:

Sanvi Srijan :

Class 10 participated in disaster management activities that really raised our awareness. We started by taking a safety pledge, then watched a video on earthquake and fire protection, which gave us practical safety tips. The disaster drill presentation showed us how to respond in emergencies.

We also learned about soil erosion and land degradation through a video, followed by a group discussion. Sharing ideas and writing about solutions helped us understand the importance of preventing land degradation and protecting the environment.

Aahana Rawat:
Through this activity, we were able to develop a comprehensive understanding of land degradation, its causes, and its adverse impacts on ecosystems, agriculture, and communities. Through the video we explored various forms of land degradation and how these issues exacerbate the risks of natural disasters. We were also able to delve into different preventive strategies to combat land degradation and become familiar with how these measures help mitigate environmental damage and reduce the risk of disasters. Furthermore, this activity helped us in fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while also increasing awareness of global and local efforts to combat land degradation.

Bhuvika Johry:
