TREE PLANTATION DRIVE ON THE OCCASION  OF INDEPENDENCE DAY UNDER "EK PED MA KE NAAM" INITIATIVE

On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, under the aegis of the "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam" initiative, the Environment Club of the school organized a tree plantation drive aimed at promoting environmental conservation. This event was inaugurated with great enthusiasm, marking a significant step towards building a greener future.

On this occasion, the school’s Principal, Mrs. Asha Prabhakar, had the honor of felicitating the District Magistrate with a green plant as a symbol of the school's dedication to environmental conservation. She reaffirmed the school's unwavering commitment to advancing efforts in conserving nature and preserving water, emphasizing the importance of continuing these initiatives to ensure a sustainable future for all.

The District Magistrate engaged with the children, who shared inspiring stories of communities taking strong and vigilant steps to conserve nature. Their narratives highlighted real-life examples of collective action and environmental stewardship, leaving the entire gathering enthralled and deeply moved by the passion and commitment of these young advocates.

The "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam" initiative helped the students to understand the impact of their actions on the environment, and instilled a sense of responsibility towards the environment and commitment to protecting nature. Educating the children about the benefits of greenery, such as cleaner air, reduced carbon footprint, and enhanced biodiversity, empowered them to become active contributors to a healthier, greener world.

Massive plantation campaign will improve ground water level, awareness towards care of plants is increasing : Manish Kumar Verma, IAS District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh

NCR- Gautam Budh Nagar, Aug 14 . Plants not only provide oxygen, greenery, clean air, they are helpful in balancing the temperature, while they also play an important role in improving the ground water level. Therefore, plant as many trees as possible and also take the responsibility of taking care of the plants that have been planted, only then they will grow up and become capable of giving us fruits, flowers and shade.

District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar IAS Manish Kumar Verma expressed this view in the plantation ceremony ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ organized by Jal Prahari in Bal Bharti Public School, Noida.

Manish Kumar Verma said that social, industrial organizations are coming forward for plantation and greenery in Gautam Budh Nagar. He appealed to the social organizations to plant trees and said that this effort of Jal Prahari on the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is commendable because if the ground water level has to be improved, then maximum number of trees will have to be planted.

Manish Kumar Verma watched a presentation on the importance of environment prepared by the school children and in his brief address told how he learnt the importance of taking care of plants and water conservation from his school teachers and his mother. He said, mothers inculcate in us the values ​​of becoming successful people and in the same way, Mother Earth holds groundwater through plantation so that we can provide water to our children.

As a partner under the National Water Mission campaign of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Jal Prahari, Climate Adaptation Project, Sarkaritel.com organized this plantation campaign in collaboration with Bal Bharti Public School.

On this occasion, the coordinator of Jal Prahari, Anil Singh and the Chief Executive Officer of Sarkaritel.com, Ameya Sathaye also planted trees.

Referring to the efforts of the school, the school’s principal Jal Prahari Asha Prabhakar said that as Jal Prahari, the school has made many efforts for water conservation and promotion and now it is ready for a bigger role in plantation. She requested the District Magistrate that they are ready to take responsibility for the extensive campaign of plantation of trees on the banks of Hindon River.

Under the aegis of Environment Club  of the school "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam" initiative was taken from July 11th  to July 21st2024 , involving students from classes I to XII. This green initiative aimed to encourage students to contribute to environmental conservation by planting trees and understanding the importance of greenery in sustaining life on Earth.

The "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam" initiative was a grand success, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment among students. The collective efforts of the students, teachers, and the community have significantly contributed to the school's green initiative. Continuous monitoring and care will ensure that the saplings grow into healthy trees, benefiting future generations.

The Aim of our Environment Club has been to involve every one to move forward and join hands to save our Planet Earth.
