‘ECOTOPIA’
FROM THE DESK OF ENVIRONMENT CLUB
Ecotopia, an event promoting harmony between the environment and humanity, was held for students from third to eighth grade on May 7th and 8th, 2024. Its aim was to raise awareness about protecting our beautiful planet, Mother Earth.It provided a platform for sharing knowledge and wisdom about environmental issues and solutions through simple and creative activities like gamification, advertisement presentation, ecofriendly way of packaging, the magic of 3 R’s and making of green book marks for Sustainable future. Class III&IV students demonstrated how everyday items could be transformed into innovative, sustainable creations. made items from recyclable materials. Class V Students crafted bookmarks using eco-friendly materials, adorned with delicate flower petals and verdant leaves. Students from VI and VII grade enjoyed packaging items with eco-friendly materials and presenting advertisements for organic products. VIII students showcased their creativity by preparing Green card boardgames which were the highlight of the event. Through this creative endeavour, students not only expressed their dedication to conserving natural resources but also contributed profusely to preserving the timeless beauty of our planet for the posterity to cherish. From eco-friendly practices to indigenous wisdom, Ecotopia highlights ways to coexist with the planet in a harmonious and sustainable way. Events like Ecotopia are essential for raising awareness, fostering environmental stewardship, and building a more sustainable future for our planet. The platform motivated students to make informed choices and advocate for positive change.
